1. the product id is the alphanumeric code that u see when u right click on my computer icon and select properties
2. It is possible to ulter that code and change it to what ever u like e.g - your name , email address etc.

- goto run
- type regedit
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows NT\current version
- In the right side , u can see a entry called product id under the name coulmn
- Now doble click on product id . a window will pop up refering your product id
- now u can delete your old id and enter anything of your choice
note : This hack will work in win XP, vista and 7
